1. What year was my instrument or unit* manufactured? By looking at your serial number, the first two numbers* in most cases will indicate the year of manufacture, For example, 8901827, indicates the unit was made 1989. In some rare occasions, such as limited edition models, please feel free to contact Customer Service at 1-800-877-6863 x5120. Also check our Guitar Archives. 2. How can I get a custom made instrument? Note: Washburn will only customize our current line of USA made guitars and basses. We do not build individual custom tailored designs.Custom made instruments must be requested at your local Authorized Washburn Dealer under all circumstances. Circumstances include, custom finishes, bodies, necks, hardware, left handed conversions, and routing. 3. Which guitar/bass models are available in a left-handed version? Acoustic Guitar: D10S LH, Acoustic/ Electric Guitars: D10 SCE LH, Electric Guitars: BT4Q LH, Electric Basses: XB120 TBL LH. 4. How do I get replacement parts for my instrument or units*?*Please note that the age of the unit will have a bearing on whether replacement parts are available direct from the factory. If you do contact the factory, please be prepared to have the model number and serial number of the unit available along with a full description of the replacement part that you need. 5. I need general maintenance on my guitar. Where can I get information? There are many places on the web that can assist you in set up and maintenance of your instruments. Here are just a few that may be very helpful. 7. How can I find an Authorized Washburn Dealer or Service Center in my area? In order to find a local Authorized Dealer or Service Center in your area, you can check out dealer locator. If you have trouble finding a dealer to help you please call us at 1-800-877-6863 x5120. 8. Which dealer in my area has the instrument or unit* I'm looking for in stock? Because dealer inventory changes frequently, we do not have a listing of which items a certain dealer has in their store. By going to our dealer locator, you can find your local dealer and call them for information. If you have trouble, please contact us at 1-800-877-6863 x5120 for assistance. 9. Which model guitar or instrument do I have? Sending us a digital picture would be the very best tool to identify your guitar, but if you don't have access to one, please be prepared with as much information about the instrument as possible. This includes serial number, body shape, color, pick up configuration, number of frets, type of bridge…etc etc. We do our best to identify guitars, but some may be prototypical models that were not standard production models, and information on these guitars is limited.
